"THOSE WHO SING PRAY TWICE" – St. Augustine Our Music Ministry would like to invite new members to join in sharing their time and talents with our parish community. New singers are always welcome in our Adult Choir. No previous musical experience is necessary. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:00pm. The Adult Choir typically sings at 5:00pm Mass each Saturday and periodically at 8:30am or 10:00am Masses on Sunday. Rehearsals will begin on September 23rd, and continue on a weekly basis. We are currently seeking adult singers to serve as cantors/leaders of song. Cantors are considered by audition only. Those who are interested in these musical ministries are encouraged to see our Music Director, Mary Kay Cullinan, after any weekend Mass for more information.

Come to the best breakfast deal in town! Our Knights of Columbus will be having a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, November 7th from 8:00am-12noon. Come and get your fill of regular and blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, coffee, and tea! Adults are $7.00 and children under 12 are $3.00. BREAKFAST AT APPLEBEE’S St. Bernadette Church will be having a Fundraiser Breakfast on Saturday, November 27th at the Applebee’s (251 Woodbridge Center Drive- Woodbridge Mall) from 8:00am - 10:00 am (last seating at 9:45). Cost is $10/plate regardless of age. Pre-fix Breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and beverage. $6 of every ticket goes directly to the Parish. Tickets will be sold after each Mass the weekend of November 13th and 14th and November 20th and 21st. However, you may contact Nick (disneychip@ymail.com or 732-721-4907) or Karen (kgumps729@gmail.com or 732-721-2772 ext. 6) to purchase tickets at any time. Only 300 tickets will be sold.

An Exciting Study of the Church’s First Five Hundred Years
Beginning September 23rd, join us on Thursdays at 7:00pm in the O'Dea Hall for this 10-week class.
Discover the extraordinary story of the Church’s beginnings—a time of courageous saints, brilliant philosophers, eloquent theologians, ruthless emperors, and heroic martyrs. St. John Paul II said, “Christ is the foundation and center of history; he is its meaning and ultimate goal.” Epic: The Early Church encourages you to grow closer to Christ through a deeper understanding of his Church. Here you will get to know the people and events that shaped its first five hundred years. You will see how the Church Fathers boldly confronted early challenges to the Faith—challenges similar to the ones we face today. You will learn the stories behind the first ecumenical councils and the Roman persecutions and meet many of the men and women who gave their lives to defend the Faith. The heroic stories of the early leaders and martyrs of the Church will strengthen and affirm your own walk of faith.
