For over 32 years, this parish undertakes a process known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). It is a process for adults who desire to become Catholic as well as for Baptized Christians seeking the same. The process takes over several months and begins in September. There are weekly gatherings where people come together to share, grow, and understand the Catholic faith. It is a preparation process for the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion) at the Easter Vigil in the spring. The process is also open to Baptized Catholics who need to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion. These are not classes but a faith-sharing group.
If you or anyone you know who might be interested in this process, please contact Tom O’Leary at [email protected] or the parish office (732-721-2772 or [email protected]) and leave a name and a phone number and a good time to call. Someone will follow-up with a phone call to answer any other questions one may have. Come and See!
