Pray the Rosary
The Joyful Mysteries
The Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary are a series of five events that celebrate the beginning of redemption, focusing on the early moments in Jesus' life.
Each mystery highlights a significant moment in the history of Salvation: The Annunciation (the moment when the angel Gabriel announces to Mary that she will be the mother of the Savior), The Visitation (Mary visits her cousin Elizabeth, who is also pregnant with John the Baptist), The Birth of Jesus (the Son of God is born in Bethlehem, in a humble manger), The Presentation in the Temple (Joseph and Mary present the child Jesus in the Temple in Jerusalem) and The Finding of Jesus in the Temple (Jesus, at twelve years old, is found by His parents in the Temple, speaking with the teachers of the Law). Each of these moments reveals profound aspects of the faith and helps us reflect on the joy of living in harmony with God’s will.
Sorrowful Mysteries
The
Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary reflect on the events of Christ's Passion and Death, specifically focusing on His suffering and sacrifice. They include the
Agony in the Garden,
Scourging at the Pillar,
Crowning with Thorns,
Carrying of the Cross, and
Crucifixion. These mysteries invite believers to contemplate the depth of Jesus' love and the immense pain He endured for humanity's sins, ultimately guiding them towards mercy and peace.
Glorious Mysteries
The
Glorious Mysteries refer to a set of five events in the Catholic tradition that celebrate the triumphs of Jesus and Mary. They include:
The Resurrection of Jesus (His rising from the dead),
The Ascension of Jesus (His ascent into heaven),
The Descent of the Holy Spirit (The coming of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles),
The Assumption of Mary
(Mary's being taken up into heaven), and
The Coronation of Mary (Mary being crowned as Queen of Heaven). These mysteries reflect the culmination of Jesus' work and the honor bestowed upon Mary.
Luminous Mysteries
The
Luminous Mysteries, also known as the "Mysteries of Light," were introduced by Pope John Paul II and are meant to be a doorway to the depths of the Heart of Christ. They focus on significant events in the life of Jesus that reveal His divinity. The Luminous Mysteries include

The Wedding at Cana,
The Proclamation of the Kingdom,
