Seniors Club

St. Bernadette Seniors Club is open to anyone 55 years of age or older, reaching that age anytime during the year of taking membership. Or in the case of married couples, only one person must be 55.  Dues are $7.00 per year for all members. We meet the second Monday of the month, from September through June, at 11:30am for lunch with the meeting at 12:00pm in O’Dea Hall.   

 

We have a Christmas Party, at a local restaurant in December as well as a Seniors Picnic in June in the Lourdes Center.  Both parties are open to members and their guests.  In addition to our meetings and parties, we have organized trips as well as help with the Tuesday Bingo.  New members are always welcome.

December 18th: Seniors Club Christmas Party Luncheon

Our Seniors Club is holding a Christmas Party on Thursday, December 18th at 12:00pm at Ponte Vecchio’s on Route 516 in Old Bridge. Cost is $55.00 for non-members and $45.00 for members. Join us for a delicious meal and camaraderie!  Choice of Grilled Salmon Bruschetta, Chicken Franchise, Chicken Parmigiana, or Eggplant Rollatini Parmigiana. Salad, pasta, and dessert (New York Cheesecake, Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Mousse Filling or Ice Cream Pie) completes your meal. Beverages are included. Choice of beer and wine, soda or iced tea. January 12th: Seniors Club Movie Month

St. Bernadette Seniors Club will meet on Monday, January 12th in O’Dea Hall at 11:30am. Lunch is $7.00 for members, $10 for non-members. This month will be a Chicken Parmesan Sub.  January is “Movie Month” and our movie this month will be The Book of Daniel. A snack will be provided for those who attend the movie. February 9th: Origami with Mary Lou

St. Bernadette Seniors Club will meet on Monday, February 9th in O’Dea Hall at 11:30am. Lunch is $7.00 for members, $10 for non-members. This month will be a ham, salami, and provolone sub sandwich.  Have you ever wanted to learn the art of Origami?  Well this is your chance!  Join us for a fun time learning how to make various paper animals and shapes. Reservations for the Spring Social on April 24th, must be made by our April 13th meeting.


March 9th: Fire Safety Presentation

St. Bernadette Seniors Club will meet on Monday, March 9th in O’Dea Hall at 11:30am. Lunch is $7.00 for members, $10 for non-members. This month will be a corned beef with Swiss cheese on rye. Join us for a fire safety presentation by our own Madison Park Fire Department.  Reservations for the Spring Social on April 24th, must be made by our April 13th meeting.


April 13th: Painting with Terry

St. Bernadette Seniors Club will meet on Monday, April 13th in O’Dea Hall at 11:30am. Lunch is $7.00 for members, $10 for non-members. Please bring an item that you would like to paint, put a fresh coat of paint on, or use one of ours! Supplies will be provided. Reservations for the Spring Social on April 24th must be made by this meeting.


April 24th: Spring Seniors Club Social

St. Bernadette Seniors Club will meet on Friday, April 24th in O’Dea Hall at 6:00pm. Cost is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members. This includes a dinner of manicotti, sausage and peppers, salad, and Italian bread. Dessert and hot and cold beverages are also provided. This is a BYOB event. Reservations must be made by our April 13th meeting.  Please bring some memorabilia or share some memories after dinner. If you have a talent you’d like to share, Share It!  This is a relaxing and truly social evening, and we hope that you will join us! 


Reservations for our Seniors Club Picnic in June will be taken at this meeting. Members $20.00 and non-members is $25.00.  Join us for a day filled with fun, food, and friends! May 11th: FBI presentation

St. Bernadette Seniors Club will meet on Monday, May 11th in O’Dea Hall at 11:30am. Lunch is $7.00 for members, $10 for non-members. This month will be a roast beef on rye. Join us for an FBI presentation by our own Barry W.


Reservations for our Senior Picnic in June will be taken at this meeting. Members $20.00 and non-members is $25.00.  Join us for a day filled with fun, food, and friends! June 8th: Seniors Club Picnic

St. Bernadette Seniors Club will hold its Annual Picnic on Monday, June 8th at 12:00pm in Lourdes Center. A day of delicious food, fun activities and lots of camaraderie. A photo presentation just may appear again this year! Take a look back at the fun memories we made over this past year and make suggestions for next year’s programs! This is YOUR CLUB!
