ST. BERNADETTE SENIORS CLUB

General Information:

St. Bernadette Seniors Group is open to anyone 55 years of age or older, reaching that age anytime during the year of taking membership. Or in the case of married couples, only one person must be 55. Dues are $7.00 per year for all members. We meet the second Monday of the month, from September through June, at 11:30am for lunch with the meeting at 12:00pm in O’Dea Hall.

We have a Christmas Party, at a local restaurant in December as well as a Seniors Picnic in June in the Lourdes Center. Both parties are open to members and their guests. In addition to our meetings and parties, we have organized trips as well as help with the Tuesday Bingo. New members are always welcome.

December - Christmas Party
Wednesday, December 4th, Ponte Vecchio in Old Bridge, Time: TBD.

RESERVATIONS MUST HAVE BEEN MADE BY NOVEMBER 11th MEETING! (members- $40.00, non-members- $50.00)

Dinner consists of Garden Salad, Pasta Vodka, Entrée (choice of Chicken Francaise, Chicken Marsala, Grilled Atlantic Salmon Bruschetta, or Eggplant Rollatini Parmigiana), and Dessert (choice of New York Style Cheesecake, Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Mousse Filling, or Ice Cream Pie). Coffee, tea, iced tea, beer, wine, and soda.

January 2025 - Happy New Year!
Monday, January 13th, 11:30am in O’Dea Hall. (Under our church)

January is “Movie Month” and our movie this month will be “Seven Years in Tibet”. A snack will be provided for those who attend the movie.

Lunch this month will be a Chicken Parmesan Sub, dessert, and beverage. Members- $7.00 and non-members- $10.00. Please place your order by January 6th.

Our Spring Senior Social will be held on Friday, April 25^th at 6:00pm in O’Dea Hall. Our menu will be chicken, scalloped potatoes, corn and salad. Dessert and hot and cold beverages will be served. This is a BYOB event. Members- $15.00 and non-members- $20.00. Spring Senior Social reservations and monies are due by our April meeting.

Make you Senior Picnic reservation today! Members $20.00 and non-members is $25.00 for this fun filled day! Join us June 9th for a day of fun, food, and friends! We have more activities planned and hope that you will join us for an enjoyable afternoon!

February 2025 - Members Only Event
Monday, February 10th, 11:30am in O’Dea Hall. (Under our church)

Lunch will be followed by presentation by Amboy Bank on Senior Fraud - this is a members only event!

Lunch this month will be a sub sandwich (ham, salami, and provolone), dessert, and beverage. Members- $7.00. Please place your order by February 3rd.

March 2025 - Members Only Event
Monday, March 10th, 11:30am in O’Dea Hall. (Under our church)

This month a Safety Presentation by the Old Bridge Police Department will follow a brief meeting.

Lunch will be Corned Beef with Swiss Cheese on Rye Bread. The cost is still only $7.00 for members and must be ordered by March 3rd.

April 2025
Monday, April 14th, 11:30am in O’Dea Hall. (Under our church)

“Painting With Terry” is our activity this month. Please bring an item that you would like to paint or put a fresh coat of paint on or use one of ours! Supplies will be provided.

A meatball sub will be our lunch for this month and the cost is still $7.00 which also includes dessert and your beverage. Non-members may order lunch for $10.00. You must order your lunch by April 7th to guarantee your meal.

Spring Senior Social reservations and monies due at this meeting! Our Spring Senior Social will be held on Friday, April 25^th at 6:00pm in O’Dea Hall. April 25^th - Spring Senior Social
Friday, April 25th, 6:00pm in O’Dea Hall. (Under our church)

Please bring some memorabilia or share some memories after dinner. If you have a talent you’d like to share “Share It”. This is a relaxing and truly social evening and we hope that you will join us!

Dinner includes chicken, scalloped potatoes, corn, and a salad. Dessert and hot and cold beverages are also provided. This is a BYOB event. Cost is $15.00 for members and $20.00 for non-members. Reservations MUST have been made by our April 14^th meeting.

Monday, May 12th, 11:30am in O’Dea Hall. (Under our church)

A special presentation by our own Monsignor Andy is the highlight of our meeting. Please make every effort to attend.

Back by popular demand, lunch will be a Roast Beef Sandwich on Rye Bread. Dessert and beverages will also be served beginning at 11:30am. Our meeting begins at 12:00pm. Lunch is still $7.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members. Don’t forget to order your lunch by May 5th!

Senior Picnic reservations must be made by this meeting. Members $20.00 and non-members $25.00. Plan on an entire afternoon of fun activities, much socializing and delicious food! And, you don’t have to cook!

June 2025 - Seniors Club Picnic

Join us for a day of delicious food, fun activities, and lots of camaraderie. A photo presentation just may appear again this year! Look at the fun memories you made and make suggestions for next year’s programs! This is YOUR CLUB! We pray everyone has a safe, healthy and wonderful summer!
