St. Bernadette's Religious Education process begins in the first grade and continues through the eighth grade. Children are prepared for the reception of First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation during that time.
You may drop off the registration form through mail slot at the parish office; or, you may visit Mary Kay in the Religious Education Office, Lourdes Center, on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 9AM to 2PM. If you have any questions about registration, please email the Religious Education Office at [email protected]
Our process is four-fold:
1. Family Catechesis - Parents teaching students at home
Parent Lesson plans are online as is the curriculum. Students are assessed at the end of most chapters via an online "Interactive Chapter Review" which is emailed directly to the Religious Education Office.
2. Once a month "in-person" classes
3. Service Projects for all grade levels
Service Projects might be completed in classes or in larger groups with parents.
4. Mass Attendance
Mass Attendance is mandatory. Liturgy of the Word for Children is offered on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at all Sunday Masses.
Thank you so much for your interest in our process.
