"THOSE WHO SING PRAY TWICE" – St. Augustine Our Music Ministry would like to invite new members to join in sharing their time and talents with our parish community. New singers are always welcome in our Adult Choir. No previous musical experience is necessary. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7:00pm. The Adult Choir typically sings at 5:00pm Mass each Saturday and periodically at 8:30am or 10:00am Masses on Sunday. Rehearsals will begin on September 23rd, and continue on a weekly basis. We are currently seeking adult singers to serve as cantors/leaders of song. Cantors are considered by audition only. Those who are interested in these musical ministries are encouraged to see our Music Director, Mary Kay Cullinan, after any weekend Mass for more information.

Join us on May 14th in O’Dea Hall for a fun night of Bingo and Tricky Tray. Doors open at 6:00pm. Bingo starts at 7:00pm with Tricky Tray pulling after all Bingos games are played. Admission is free! Bingo Boards are $5.00 for the set and Tricky Tray tickets are $10 for 20 tickets. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit St. Bernadette Church. Solemnity of the Ascension Date change This year, the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord will be observed on Sunday, May 29th. Effective this Easter season, the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord will be permanently transferred from Thursday of the Sixth Week of Easter to the following Sunday, the Seventh Sunday of Easter, in all Catholic dioceses in New Jersey. This liturgical observance is an integral dimension of the completion of Our Lord's paschal mystery and, after much discussion, the Catholic Bishops of New Jersey collectively discerned that the transferring the observance to the following Sunday would allow for greater participation among the faithful. "While he was blessing them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.”
